2016 STUDENT OF THE YEAR: WILL JEFFERS

 

 Will Jeffer is a junior at Hill School in Fort Worth, Texas. Will participated in the inagural LLS Students of the Year campaign to live out his mission in life is to help others fight cancer, raise money to find cures and help  kids warrior through living daily with cancer.  Will was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia when he was 14 and found remission after a bone marrow transplant.

​

Will serves on the Youth Advisory Committee for Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth and speaks publicly about his experiences with cancer and spreading the message that Leukemia is the number one disease killer among children. Last spring he was a keynote speaker at The Conversation, an event of world changers, CEOs and entrepreneurs who gather to connect, ignite and collaborate to change lives. Will loves anything to do with being in the mountains, his dog Sammy, long boarding, video games and all types of sports.
